Chef Jordan's Cooking Instructions
Tips from our in house chef Jordan on how to cook your Farmshare products to perfection. Enjoy!
Wings
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- Rub wings in spice and arrange on baking sheet or grill
- Bake for 40 mins, flip and bake for 15-20 mins or until crisp. On grill, cook for 50 mins, flipping every 10 mins.
- Rest for 5 mins. Enjoy!
Chicken Breasts
- Preheat oven to 425 F
- Add breasts to a bowl of water and salt. Soak for 15 mins.
- Rub chicken in spice
- Cook for 16-18 mins (internal temp of 165 F)
- Rest for 5 mins. Enjoy!
Chicken Thighs
- Preheat over to 425 F
- Rub in spice provided and arrange on baking sheet
- Cook for 12 mins, flip and cook for 8 mins (internal temp of 165 F)
- Let rest for 5 mins. Enjoy!
Chicken Drumsticks
- Thaw drumsticks (or cook from frozen), rub in spice, arrange on baking sheet
- Preheat oven to 425 F
- Cook for 25 mins, flip and cook for 10 mins
- Rest for 5 mins. Enjoy!
Flattened Chicken (1.5kg)
- Preheat oven to 450 F
- Rub in spice provided
- Cook for 10 mins
- Reduce to 350 F, cook for 70 mins.
- Rest for 5 mins. Enjoy!
12oz NY AAA Striploin Preparation
BBQ
- Brush your steaks with a little oil, and season with our spice.
- Brush a little oil on the grates of your BBQ.
- Turn the BBQ to high and preheat for 5-10 mins (ideally 500F-600F).
- Place steaks on hot grill.
- Let the steak grill for 2 mins (rare), 3 mins (medium rare), 4 mins (medium)
- Turn the steak 90 degrees and grill for same amount of time.
- Flip the steak and repeat steps 5 &6
- If using a probe thermometer the steak will be: 115-120F for rare, 125-130F for medium rare, 135-140F for medium, 145-150F for medium well.
- Remove and rest in covered foil for 3-4 mins
Pan Sear
- Oil the steaks but leave the spice off.
- Heat a cast iron or thick bottom pan at high heat while turning oven to 350F
- Add oil to coat the bottom of the pan
- Add the steak to the pan, dropping it away from you to minimize splatter
- Sear the first side for 3-4 mins. Flip and sear for 3-4 mins.
- Remove the steak and season both sides with spice provided.
- Place the pan in the oven for 3-4 mins for rare, 5-6 mins for medium rare, 7-8 mins for medium, 9-10 mins for medium well.
- If using a probe thermometer the steak will be: 115-120F for rare, 125-130F for medium rare, 135-140F for medium, 145-150F for medium well.
- Remove and rest in covered foil for 3-4 mins
